Be Part of the Knowledge Movement
Building a culture of lifelong learning requires more than a platform—it requires collective action. CPD Nepal invites healthcare professionals, educators, institutions, organizations, and partners to work together, share knowledge, contribute expertise, support innovation, promote learning opportunities, and help build the CPD ecosystem. Together, we can make quality continuing professional development more accessible and turn shared knowledge into stronger professionals and better healthcare.
CPD Nepal Initiative
A profession is characterized by acquiring a qualification by attending a prescribed course of education and training followed by commitment to provide services for which that education and training prepares you and earn a living. Health care professionals follow this path and their commitment to provide service requires that they keep their competence to remain relevant in the changing needs of their patients or clients. Thus, the commitment to profession means a pursuit of lifelong learning.
Most of the health professionals look for opportunity to learn and acquire new skills during their professional journey. Regulatory institutions require that professionals registered with them maintain their knowledge, skills and professionalism during their career. However, no robust mechanism is yet in place which allows them to keep track of their learning effort and record them on an acceptable and recognizable manner.
An open and free Online CPD Platform is currently being developed and will be launched soon to bridge the gap in accessible, relevant, and ethical continuing professional development. It will offer free learning resources along with a credible system to track and record CPD, enabling professionals to monitor their growth and demonstrate learning when required.
We invite educators, institutions, and partners to support this mission and join us in building Free Online CPD for all.
Knowledge Philanthropy
Healthcare is a profession of lifelong learning. As knowledge, technology, evidence, and patient needs evolve, healthcare professionals must continue to learn, reflect, and grow. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is therefore not just a requirement, but a professional responsibility. Yet meaningful lifelong learning remains difficult for many healthcare professionals in Nepal due to geography, cost, time, and unequal access to quality educational opportunities.
CPD Nepal is being developed to help change this. We envision a national digital ecosystem connecting healthcare professionals with educators, mentors, institutions, professional societies, hospitals, and knowledge partners, making professional learning more accessible, continuous, collaborative, and relevant.
At its heart is our concept of Knowledge Philanthropy: the belief that knowledge and professional experience gain greater value when shared. Every professional can contribute through teaching, mentorship, expertise, technology, content, innovation, or resources. This vision cannot be built by one organisation alone. We invite healthcare professionals, institutions, organisations, technology partners, philanthropists, and funding partners to join us in building CPD Nepal.
Let us share what we know, learn from one another, and build a culture of lifelong professional learning for Nepal.
